Send Your Employees Home - NOW!

AYLESBURY BASED Active Technology, a computing specialist for over nine years, is offering a free demonstration on how broadband and wireless technology can drastically improve business efficiency and significantly lower overheads.  Aimed at companies with between 2 to 20 employees, the informal session will particularly appeal to businesses in the professional sector.  However, anyone wishing to understand how these exciting developments could impact their operations would benefit.

"We exploit inexpensive technology by putting it together in innovative ways," explained Technical Director Darran Hamer.  "In the past, corporations with huge IT budgets could link satellite offices, offering their staff video and voice conferencing, secure messaging and real-time collaboration on documents or projects.  Today, we can harness the new technology and give those same services to local businesses at a fraction of the cost" he stated.  "Best of all, it all works so easily and seamlessly," Darran added.

"There seems to be a general unawareness in regards to new technology – especially broadband.  Company owners seem to be confused that all the hype is about faster Internet access.  Although broadband allows for quicker download times, this is just one of the many features," stressed Darran.  "Physical separation of employees is no longer a problem.  The benefits and efficiencies of remote working are well understood, however the idea that 'remote working' is synonymous with 'poor communication' has been rendered obsolete by recent developments," he added.

Many companies or partnerships work from different locations where they liaise through email and phone conversations.  "This works well enough, but there can be a significant 'lag' between events.  Often, employees or partners wish to work from home, but can't access the company network remotely, and even if they do they 'dial in' through slow and expensive connections, leading to frustration and high bills.  All of this adds up to a significant cost overhead and poor efficiency – so much so, that most companies just choose to ignore the potential and stick to the tried and tested office.  New technology finally makes it possible for everyone to stay in touch, real time, even using video and sound, all for a very low fixed cost, wherever they are," explained Darran.

Active Technology has recently implemented such a system for a rapidly growing local electrical contracting firm.  Described as "revolutionary" by Director Graham Bartlett, it has allowed the company to operate professionally without the need for offices and stay in touch instantly with all employees no matter where they are.

In order to demonstrate the potential of these new developments, Active Technology will be holding a free demonstration day on the 30th of July offering jargon-free expert and impartial advice.  Available slots are 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30, but please note that spaces are limited so book now.
